Speed isn’t a mood; it’s an operating system—and most teams fake it with dashboards and breathless standups while latency quietly multiplies. Vibe management is the countermeasure: a small, explicit grammar—assets, liabilities, first moves—run through a tight Assessment → Plan → Execution loop with weekly OODA check-ins, checklists, and if–then triggers. The result isn’t hype; it’s a felt state of calm competence where decisions land faster, risks surface earlier, and partnerships default to win–win because the mechanics make it hard to do anything else.
Core idea: Reusable success patterns map assets → liabilities → first moves → feedback inside an Assessment → Plan → Execution (APE) loop to compress time-to-value.
Why it works: Short feedback cycles (OODA), checklists, implementation intentions, and psychological safety raise execution reliability and learning speed.
Win-win by design: Create value by combining complementary assets, negotiating with multi-issue/MESO packages, and layering formal + relational contracts for things you can’t fully specify.
Applications (3 arenas):
Medical emergencies: Match scarce assets (people, AEDs, tourniquets) to time-critical liabilities (defib delay, hemorrhage); codify first moves (CPR→AED; bleed control).
New business engagements: Run 1–3 MVP experiments with explicit metrics; govern via lightweight PM practices; OODA reviews + if-then owner triggers.
Partnerships: Align complementarities (tech, channels, IP); use MESO to expand joint gains; operate with joint backlogs/KPIs and relational governance.
30/60/90 rollout:
0–30: Stand up a one-page Pattern Card; pilot two scenarios; add a 30-min OODA to weekly reviews.
31–60: Publish 6–10 Pattern Cards (sales pilot, channel launch, incident comms, etc.); pre-build MESO deal packages.
61–90: Make Pattern Cards mandatory for sizable initiatives; quarterly pattern reviews; tie leader goals to reuse and win-win KPIs.
What to measure: Time-to-first-move, first-move hit rate, issue-surfacing latency (proxy for psych safety), pattern reuse & win rate, and joint-value metrics in partnerships.
Anti-patterns: Sloganizing APE without checklists/if-then triggers; single-issue bargaining (no trades); over-lawyering where trust-based performance is required.
